Evening all,

Popped into Goldsmiths yesterday to look at some watches for myself, and whilst I am still waiting my ON fell in love with the new bi metal datejust they had in stock.

Goldsmiths seemed very taken with her current daily, a 1998 69178 yellow gold Datejust with diamond markers and yellow gold bracelet. So much so that they started phoning various people who had left for the day and the out of hours valuation team, to no avail.

We are expecting a call tomorrow with a proposed valuation to consider when chopping in against the new watch. However, for obvious reasons I would like more than one source of proposed value.

Chrono24, prices seem to vary wildly and it isn't as much help as I would have hoped.

Any advice on best way to proceed?

TIA

The cynic in me thinks they’re making all that fuss to get you to buy.

You might well be right smile

The shockingly low valuation that came back today hasn't though....
