Dying my beard without making a mess in the bathroom

Can someone kindly suggest ways of dying my beard without making a mess in the bathroom when shampooing it out?

Why bother. It rarely looks natural, frequently stupid, and the natural colour grows through in a few days anyhow.

There is nothing as amusing as spotting a Man with dyed hair.
It never looks normal.
Loads of grey whiskers sticking out underneath! Grey stubble,sideburns.
Guy I work with does it. He looks a proper Plonker.

Probably not!
Women in the other hand are very clever with it. Maybe because they pay to have it done professionally?

Thats only because its the ones you spot. I understand its quite common though.

I do not dye anything and have been grey forever - absolutely no criticism for those who do though.
People do all sorts of things for their own appearance. I recall a giant thread about multi blade razors that left me amazed that people would care so much about microscopic difference in stubble.
However, if I chose to use dye, I would do it in the shower. Less chance of a mess.

I dyed mine blue during lockdown, mainly to ps off my 10 year old daughter!

I had washed out pretty much totally within two days and was a complete disappointment - she was however scandalised and knows that I will stoop to any bounds to embarrass her!

.....and I maintained a mohican for the first month of lockdown for the very same reason! Longer hair then I'd ever normally have it & stuck in doors.... Why not!!
