Does anyone know if the reliability issues have been solved on the facelift model of the discovery sport?

Heard a lot about the oil dilution issues in the past.

Looking at buying one very soon as there is a good deal on the table but a bit nervous about committing to it if there’s still issues.

I have new facelift model on order to be delivered any day soon (the Petrol Hybrid) and will feedback. I look at it this way - if there any issues it will be back at the dealer and I will ask for a Full Fat Range Rover as my courtesy car as compensation while any issues are fixed.

We have had a petrol one as a our family car since November, no problems at all. Mind you it's only done 3,000 miles and still smells new.

Good luck with that! Had RR sport which went in for battery problems 3 months after buying from new. Car was with dealer for ages and had discovery sport as replacement. Eventually, after much complaining and escalation to Land Rover, managed to get like for like vehicle.

Well fingers crossed this is all hypothetical. All depends on how much complaining you will do! Letters, phone calls and consumer rights will get you where you need to be. Also the other half is someone you don't want to mess with if she is annoyed lol

A courtesy car is just that, a courtesy.

Giving you a car with 4 wheels and an engine will fill any of their obligations.

True that is - but customer service goes a long way. I am coming from being with Mercedes for 10 years where I have always been looked after and feel they go the extra mile. Let's see what Land Rover is made of if not back to Germans in few years.
