Something i have started to notice and i am sure was present when i first had the TV but there is really poor dark scene performance on my LG 55EG960V OLED TV with a lot of colour banding a general picture quality. Is this normal? Amyone know of a way i can improve it?
I know the TV is a few years old now but really not what you expect in a TV of this alleged quality.

What source are you using?

Same problems displayed from a UHD Blu-ray? Or just certain TV channels?

I've got this with certain sources on a LG B8. Game of Thrones blu-ray for instance has terrible banding on dark scenes. From what I know it's an LG issue and other OLEDs from other brands don't have this. What I've taken from this is that LG isn't the be all and end all for OLED's.

It definitely seems to be a source issue. I have done some further research and appears to be quite a common issue. Went back and found some old reviews and this has some pretty good settings advice https://www.avforums.com/reviews/lg-55eg960v-eg960... Also found some others that stated the colour settings on many LG OLED TV's have quite an effect.
