X5 40d (F15) - Jerking/Vibration when letting off throttle.
Discussion
Hi guys,
I have an F15 40d.
Does anybody else with the same/similar model notice when you come off the throttle at around 1500-2000 revs, there’s is some slight jerking/vibration as the revs are dropping back down? It seems to happen just as the revs drop back down past 1500rpm. It’s particularly noticeable when driving around town and you’re only applying light throttle on and off around that region.
It almost feels like a misfire, but it can’t be.
At first I thought it was just bumps on the road coming through the chassis but it’s definitely something in the driveline - it's consistently repeatable.
Cheers

Hey Frizzle - did you ever get to the bottom of the proble?. My F15 is also displaying similar symptoms :-(
Thanks in advance!
I ended up with a new transfer box from BMW under warranty. Same symptoms as OP. Luckily the warranty company - BMW - picked up the tab. £7500+ all in for a new transfer box...Thanks in advance!
