What, the actual, fk?

Basildon petrol attack: Hostile crowd shouted 'set them on fire' at police officers doused in fuel after high-speed chase

another article said:
When the team realised the substance was petrol, they heard other members of the crowd shouting 'Who's got matches?' and 'Light them up'.
Attempted murder?

I'm lost for words.

How is that not attempted murder?

3 years 9 months does not seem enough, especially when he will likely be out in half that.

An attempt needs to be ‘more than merely preparatory’ along with an intent to kill.

The noxious substance charge is a creative one to use rather than something like assault / public order.

Probably why the sentence was not far from 4 years.

That red container doesn't look like a regulation Petroleum-spirit (Plastic Containers)
Regulations 1982 SI1982/630 receptacle for the carrying of petrol.

Boy are they in trouble.

With this and watching one of those "interceptor" programs on the box last night, there is a lot of scum out there. I do feel for the ole bill having to deal with them and having to allow them their uman rights.

Proved your own point there to an extent. The fact that we don’t stick up for our underclass is a good thing, we don’t shout racism etc, most white people Disassociate themselves from these individuals and expect the justice system to take care of them, sadly it doesn’t always.

Get real.

I've seen chavs in petrol stations filling 1 litre water bottles with petrol and a mate waiting by the till to pay.

Call the law? the stheads will be long gone by the time the police arrive. CCtv? so what? again, long gone and untraceable.

Ironically the individuals in question, white poor (usually) single parent offspring , are the most disadvantaged group in the U.K. and they will live in areas with black and mixed people.

Now you've both enjoyed a good, if not entirely irrelevant bit of virtue signalling what do you actually think about the event?

The scroat must have got a fair bit on himself, one of the coppers should have lit him up with a taser.
