As the title, clearing out the lock up and found these door panels.

Anyone recognise what car they are from?

They are a similar size to mk1 Golf 3 door panels if that is any help.

From that picture, I would say Mk1 Escort too. That door release looks very familiar (you had to lean on the door to open it in later years).

They look a bit 'Italian' to me.

Reminded me a little of my old S2 Spider but they are not

Those are the wrong door panels for a RS2000.

Those and the ones in the OP are the pre-Oct 72 style door cards, which were never fitted to the RS2000.

I'll go and remove my anorak paperbag

Blimy, you must have worn your Anorak out by now smile Good spot, searching the net, it appears mine are as you say, although looking at other RS interiors mine is not alone in having these door cards wink

OP, now with the benefit of of an anorak, you have an Early ish Mk 1 Escort door card wink

Edit, looking on Aldridge trim web site, mine and the OP are listed as used also by the RS1600, RS2 as Aero says are different and £172 a pair!

Technically.....they are the Mk.1 Escort L door cards, which were also fitted to the Escort Sport, and the base model non-Custom Pack, pre-Oct 72 Mex and RS16.

The pre-Oct 72 Custom Pack Mex/RS16, and all post-Oct 72 Mex/RS16 and of course the RS2 got the luxury laugh padded door panels from the Escort XL.
