I have had a search on this but can't find anything so thought I would ask here.

In the UK Becks has been reduced to 4% alcohol, no problem with that, but it now tastes awful.

Does anyone know where I can import the proper German stuff (in bottles, not tins)? I would be happy to take a pallet and store it in an outbuilding (this should see me though a week! hehe).

Cheers!

For our last Oktoberfest we did a run, one of us works for VW so we borrowed a transporter and filled up.

A nice little road trip, not sure how he explained away the mileage!

Cant help with online I’m afraid.

I'd be working my way down the aisle at Lidl to find a beer that suits. Importing a lager seems a bit hard work.

After 8 or 9 they all taste the same anyway hehe

Get a grip of yourself!
No one truly likes alcohol free lager. hehe

Thanks all.

With the current restrictions a road trip to Germany is not going to happen, so online is my only option.

Beers of Europe was a good shout thanks, but they are out of stock on 330ml bottles and only have the 500ml ones, which having been used to the 275ml ones you get here seem massive!

I'll keep hunting, it can't be impossible. beer

Out of stock at the moment, and you need to buy a £200 machine to serve it up with, but it’s a way to do it?

If you like it you like it, that version probably isn't in any way offensive, but I wouldn't spend £2.42 for that when BoE have such a huge selection of proper-"proper" German beers and some great ones for less than that - give something a try. Not much is in stock at the moment though to be honest.

There are much better pils but this is my goto for something cheap https://www.beersofeurope.co.uk/beer/country/germa...

some nice beers on that website (Ayinger, Freising Hofbrau, Weltenberg).
lived over there for a number of years and have visited all those breweries.

Stay away from Oettinger though, it's nasty and was often for sale at 5euro for 20 bottles

That would be great for my outdoor bar. Do you have a link to the dispensing machines? smile

I have tried Estrella and found it to be quite nice, but old habits die hard! biggrin

Should Coops be doing this sort of thing for you.

Same website in case you though it looked familiar biggrin
He certainly should be mate, but you just can't get reliable staff these days! biggrin
