Hi All, first time poster. thought i would join as i am really struggling with buying a new car and wondered if anyone else had the same predicament.

i currently have an F31 340i touring done around 50k miles in it and it is fine but fancy a change however whenever i get excited about a car typically
looked at rs4/x3m/e63s/glc63s and when i run the numbers (PCP don't hate) the monthly amount even though affordable really makes me question how much i love the car and pretty much loose interest.

cars seem to be getting more and more expensive even just general models (even more so the high spec high performance models)

i also find i start nik picking cars a lot more to justify the cost. anyone else been similar boat to me?

Yup. I've given up looking to buy atm as everything seems very expensive, both used and new.

However i got my heart set on a PHEV (>200hp) as the commute is 27 mile round trip and only occasional journeys over this.

I'm praying for some decent lease deals but i think i will need to hold out for anoth eryear yet

see i don't mind paying if i am absolutely in love with the car, problem is no car is justifying a £650 - £800pm cost especially when factoring in a decent deposit of £12-15K.

not really into bolting after market bits onto my car either regarding the exhaust.
