Engine being delivered today. Gonna spend some time cleaning and painting it. Wife says, "Why, you cant see it with the bonnet shut" Derrrr!!!
Am I right in thinking, TVR didn't do anything to the heads on the 2.9. They are as ford fitted? Only information I can find is it has different heads than on the 2.8. ie, a three branch manifold as apposed to the 2.8 siamese port.
Also thinking of getting the flywheel lightened.

Just got engine delivered, the flywheel is the thinnest I have ever seen so it wont need lightened

think it was just the standard ford one. had the engine out on mine and replaced the manifold gaskets with ford ones so would think it was the same.
cheers

Cheers Kev. From what I can tell they are the same. Fuel rail is different to my origanal. New engine has it laying flat under the plenum chamber. No probs there unless the wiring connecters are different. Even better news. GOT MY CAR BACK TODAY!!! So now the work starts.

best of luck with it - I'm sure you will but I'd stick a new clutch in it unless the old one is very recent. Clean out all the manifold threads - lot easier now than when it is back in the chassis.
