Nope was never allowed one for some unfathomable reason, I think my parents thought I would get bored of it quite quickly because it isn't a very interactive play experience.

To teach them a lesson I bought myself one when I was about 25. I got bored of it quite quickly because it wasn't a very interactive play exeperience. I think my nephew has it now.

Yes I did, battery powered used to take black pellets round a track unloads them into a hopper then go round and pick them up.
Was awesome and a sort of only child slow Scalextric.

I did have a better thing that that, a Matchbox version of said racetrack with smaller cars, that I ingeniously decided to wet the track to make the cars skid,

the results were inevitable

No, but in ~1956 I got a Pig Truck, an open-topped lorry filled with pigs. It was possibly modelled on a Foden, but I was far from being an expert at the time.

I used to push it along in front of me (it was almost as big as me) but I tripped & fell on the tailgate one day breaking my nose across the bridge. I still have the scar today.

We also had one - it was more fun than Scalextric as you could play longer without the cars overheating, and being smaller enabled more complex track layout in a smaller space. Also the car headlights used to light up, so you could play it in the dark for that full LeMans experience! Thinking about it, I have a feeling it's in my loft - must go get it down and see if it still works.
