couple of suggestions;

1. The Old Reims GP ruins, which I beleive Surrey have been to before.
2. The D18 East to West just below Laon. Straight fast road through some great countryside passing a few war graves that are very humbling when you stop for a break.

Saturday track day at Folembray. If you turn up and talk nicely to the organiser I think that it's about £90. Great track with some interesting corners

If you are thinking of Chateau de Courcelles, you might want to consider as an alternative Chateau de Fere, very near by, not quite as nice but normally a bit less expensive and it makes a pleasant change. Nicer dining room IMHO.

I always find Reims a bit too busy and much prefer Epernay, you can roll into any of a number of the famous Champagne houses and get an inexpensive tour round the underground production / storage areas which are pretty impressive. They all have parking places available, but I always seem to end up getting lost and never find them before frustration sets in and end up in one of the pay and displays. All the champagne houses are on the same road so take your pick. If you've got a decent map you'll find them better than I can ;-) Remember to buy some of the local product as well.

The war graves are a bit depressing, I find. there's the large American war cemetary on the road into Chateau de Fere, worth a visit but don't stay too long.

Cheers

John.

If you are going down to the Reims area, check out the Furballers` route - you won`t find better!
