Where To Book A Courier For A Parcel From Denmark To UK?
Discussion
I would like to purchase a small item (10x10x10 cm @ <0.5kg) worth about £10 from a Danish supplier who will only ship if I book my own courier to the UK. Is there a local or even whole of EU equivalent to parcel2go, interparcel, parcelmonkey, etc. which I can use to book a courier at a sensible cost? Or a suggestion of where to book a courier directly in Denmark?

So the bookseller can't manage to go to a post office in Denmark and say 'I'd like to send this to the UK please'. Hmm.
I have a friend in Denmark if you need a middleperson with an iota of ability.
This. A little annoying seeing as they ship to a couple EU countries. That's a very kind offer if your friend is happy to forward this on to me!? PM sent I have a friend in Denmark if you need a middleperson with an iota of ability.

I sell small and large items, and always advertise as collection only. I'm happy to package items (at a cost), but if a customer wants a courier involved, they have to arrange it themselves. That way, if the thing arrives damaged in transit, doesn't arrive at all, or arrives later than the customer expects, it's the customer who has to fI have a friend in Denmark if you need a middleperson with an iota of ability.

k about arguing with whoever they contracted with to get the goods to them intact/on time/at all. If I contract with a courier, it's down to me to sort it out, and I haven't the inclination to take that risk or responsibility.
You're right, I just wonder how much business you lose in return for that 1 in 500 time when something goes wrong.

The OP's item is worth a tenner. I'd guess the first phone call the supplier received from a customer about a failed delivery would wipe out his profit, once you factor the time in. The things I sell are incidental to my business, and I'd throw them in the skip otherwise. It's just not worth the hassle.Gassing Station | Business | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
