I’m a bit of an election nerd and I’m looking forward to next month’s US election.

I’d like to watch it unfold on US tv if possible rather than via BBC News, Sky News or CNN International. On my Apple TV box I can install apps for NBC News and ABC News amongst others, but none of them work for live tv as they are all geo-locked. Does anyone know if it is possible to get around this by using a VPN?

Plenty of VPN's give you free trials.

As to why you want to trust anything the US News networks broadcast?? Jesus wept.

Plenty of independent news networks out there without the the anchor piping up "What we think all good honest Americans should think......"

I absolutely hated my time(s) in the US - because of.

1/ The news is utter wk. Worse than wk. It is so opinionated arse gravy. It is not possible to escape it.

2/ Adverts of "Do you suffer from - insert whatever the fk malady you have - then ask your doctor about.... - insert something what will likely make you worse - ...... and stunning actor going... "Now I'm not a doctor.... but when my haemorrhoids make my lovers balls produce blue semen - I take blueballsbegone...... side effects include your bks dropping off, your cock having gangarine, mental illness, you hate jews, nazis, become a white supremacist, and an irrational hate os Spongebob Squarepants".

Some of the US news channels might have live streams of their TV broadcasts on YouTube on election night.

ABC News is currently available - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w_Ma8oQLmSM

Youtube and Twitter will be options; most major networks carry live streams on both.

The Youtube options are a good shout which I had not considered. Thanks for that.
