Always had a hidden desire for the luxury and comfort (and I admit the kudos) that comes with RR, particularly as we are planning on driving hols over the next 24 months. Just looking casualy at the classifieds as we all do and with a budget of 15k , there does seem to be some great bargains out there. You can get a whole lotta car for your money but my RR knowledge is limited to the cosmetics. So folks fill free to advise, talk me out of it or encourage...

For that budget and assuming a large ‘proper’ one head over to fullfatrr.com for all you need...

We had an Evoque for 4 years from new and no problems other than a couple of software updates. You only really hear the horror stories on here.
Great car, a lot nicer than the Tiguan it was replaced with, but not overly large, fine if you want to travel with 2, bit tight for a family of 4

I’m also looking at the full fat RR’s, but thinking of gambling on a L322 as I’ve always liked them

As above, go to FFRR and look on their classifieds and speak to forum members.

15k looks like it gets you a lot of car, but it will also get you a lot of stress. You need to be buying the conditon and the owners (i.e. well cared for, not blinged up etc.) at that price point.

The full fat RR in 4.4d form is the pick for me.

As others have said buy on condition.

Go for a late FFRR with the 4.4 TDV8, the best sorted of them.

As per above, buy on condition and provenance.

I picked up an '09 3.6TDV8 for a third of your budget a couple of months back - brilliant bit of kit & would 100% recommend.

DM if you have any questions as I did tons of research.

Cheers,

Chris

I recently picked up a 2007 TDV8 for next to nothing, very pleased with it so far.
