Leg pain after walking.

Pain in the middle of my left leg after a short amount of walking.

During my last visit to Hospital a few weeks ago, this was put down to a Blood Clot.

They said I should report back if the problem returns.

They have treated it supposedly. Found to "thick blood" obviously. No jokes please. Nightly injections of blood thinner/thinner blood? In my stomach should have, and seems to have cured the problem.

I have a DVT and take blood thinners daily.

Sorry to hear that.

They have given me some Clonazepam Tablets to take daily. I must speak to someone at the Hospital to see if they plan to do anything else.
Walking seems far easier than it has been.

7 or 8 years ago I couldn't walk more than 300m without stopping for the pain to subside.

Into day surgery and with a trace liquid injected into the bloodstream I had a bladder device inserted in my groin, and as the surgeons
came to a narrow spot they would stop and expand the bladder to stretch the artery, deflate and move on till they reached my foot.
Same for other leg.

Cameras and screens above and to the side so I caught glimpses of what was going on.

Afterwards 4 hours of laying flat and still in case I had a bleed. Nurses fussing round, lifting the blanket and checking BP every 20 mins.


I had a 3 week wait for this treatment but with Covid19 it's probably, well, your guess is as good as mine now.

Sounds rotten.

I was an early adopter of Covid 19..18 months ago or more. The leg pain after walking a short distance has been a constant since. No idea if the two are related.

I suffered intermittent claudication, (poor blood supply) to my legs & had that very same procedure myself to have stents inserted in to my illiac arteries.
Job done, never looked back & yest had the warm feeling during the procedure too.
