Any recommendations for a good place to approach for a tidy up? I based around the Donington area of the East Mids and would like to get my late father's watch spruced up, it's nothing special (Tissot PR100) but it has sentimental value and I'd just like to get it polished etc, works fine so probably just cosmetic work really so that it can look nicer in the winder smile

Edit: Drat, autocorrect mangled thread title frown

There is a place in Leicester https://www.lockerhullthornton.com/

Not used them myself, but they’re not far away and have been going for a while...and they are a Tissot service centre.

Alternatively try some Cape Cod cloth its magical stuff...

Speak to Lumbers in Leicester or venture into Birmingham and the jewellery quarter

There's a guy on YouTube called the Nekkid Watchmaker, think he's based in the Midlands, maybe Brum.
Check his YouTube channel he does some amazing restos on watches

Not sure of his contact details but send him a message through there and see what he says

You haven’t seen the watch, so how can you possibly suggest that cape cod is the right tool??!

It seems a perfectly reasonable suggestion to me.

Always good to have a few CC cloths, even if his Tissot is too scratched up for one.
