spider conversion??????

hi there ive got a 97 griff 500, wondering if any one can help me with this question. im changing my hubs to allow the fittment of 18" spider alloys wondering if any 1 new if the front and rear wheels will both fit or if i have to fit a set of four front wheels as ive heard you have to on the cerbera conversion. also what tyres sizes fit and offsets and wheel width. any advice on which 18" spiders will fit will be greatly recieved!!!!!!!!

18" TVR 'Spider' wheels are 8.5x18 5x114.3 et 33 rear and et42 front. 16" are 7.5x16 et25 rear and et38 front. If you're considering an alternative wheel be careful about getting the correct fitment - specifically, don't compromise beyond a couple of mm on offset and avoid spacers and non-precision centering rings. Watch out for different width wheels also and avoid generic aftermarket wheels if they are not heat treated.(Make sure you stay within ETRTO recommendations).

So 16s are easy you fit the rear onto the front and the front onto the rear. 18s are a bit more tricky - fit the rear on the front and rear but you've lost 8mm of offset. You could fit 5mm spacers...?
Tyres are easier: 225/35/18f and 245(or 255)/35/18r.

Be very careful about the rim widths and offsets of TVR spiders, there are quite a few varients out there.

Must admit if 18's were similar I may go for them ..........

The factory style kit provides for the different f/r offsets, as used in the later cars. Cerbs use the front offset all round.

not spoke to zz top but ive seen his picture. thanks for the advice people and ill call tvrcarparts for some help unless any 1 knows ho to get into contact with zz top himself, thanks i like a challenge!
