Android apps recently needing constant sign-in. settings?

I have a one plus 5, which has their version of Android 9 installed. Latest update was 200224. Recently I've noticed several apps needing constant signing in. Worst is teams and nectar but others are similar. I don't recall having to do this previously and haven't knowingly changed any settings.

Is there anything I can do to keep the apps signed in? Or are the app versions now wanting a more up to date OS?
