Where do you discover new music?

What are your go-to places - blogs, lists, forums, whatever?

BBC 6 music for me. Although i find one day it can be brilliant the next is a what the fk is this kinda day.

edit just to add: not so long ago it used to be Zane Lowe on radio 1, since his move to apple i haven't really followed him. I used to love his energy and enthusiasm for new music. Could play the most random song and it was brilliant.

Charity shops or car boot sales mostly. When CDs are twenty five pence each, getting a stack of ten chosen solely on copyright date and album art is worth the risk, notable discoveries include Englebert Humperdinck, Maceo and the King's Men and Chris de Burgh. Rather less successful were Dido's No Angel and Five's Greatest Hits

I also have a rule that when I buy a new album, I take one gamble for every two "safe choices", otherwise it's mostly TV or film. I'm on a bit of an 80's J-pop binge at the moment thanks to Bubblegum Crisis!

Me too, he was absolutely fantastic. In that same mould as John Peel where he could listen to almost any genre and seem genuinely excited about the good stuff.
