I’ll be first in the queue. I want to get my life back and until the vaccine is here I very much doubt that will happen any other way.

Like it or not it’s the only way to get back to normality and if anyone believes those stupid Bill Gates conspiracy theories you’re more then welcome not to take it.

I have concerns about the vaccine that are based on the fact that Im worried it will get railroaded through without significant due diligence, and could potentially become another Thalidomide.......

What isnt a conspiracy is, the manufacturers are granted full immunity for any harms caused, and it wont even be covered by the goverment vaccine compensation scheme.

Which for anyone with even a couple of braincells should at least raise a few questions.

Im not taking anything thats not been properley tested and where the government gives the vaccine producer a get out of jail free card when they fk up a load of innocent but stupid people......

Had this debate with my sister the other day. A lot of women in her work are adamant they want to be first in the queue because ' you should always trust the government to do the right thing'. - should you eff.

Incredible that so many educated people can be so naive. I mean the government told women to take a supplement to control morning sickness that resulted in them giving birth to babies with deformities and in many cases missing limbs. Then denied thalidomide was the cause for years.

Another is the contaminated blood scandal in the 1970's. People trusted the government health bodies and what they got were blood transfusions which resulted in some getting Hep C and dying. Some people are still trying to get answers from this scandal.

I certainly won't be taking a vaccine that has clearly been rushed and fast tracked.

A good friend of mine is pretty senior in the Oxford/AstraZeneca dev team for this vaccine. The way they're speeding up the process is to prep the later stage tests early, but the actual tests themselves are not accelerated or short cut. I also have a couple of friends on the 1st stage trials, they seem to be fine. I'll be happy to have it.

In for the trial vaccine this Friday (should have been last week but they decided to space appointments out more).

The whole process will be taking 12 months.

No chance. Why would I want to be a guinea pig for a drug they’ve rushed through and have no responsibility for?

I’m under 80, healthy, and have already had it. I definitely don’t feel fearful of it.

Not at all, just interested how people are saying its rushed and dangerous without actually being able to say rushed in what stage(s) of the process (if they even understand them) and why that makes it dangerous.

By all means dispute it, but show your working - otherwise its just the same as the shouty people against other vaccines.

I’m sure you have something to back it up... Don’t you?...
