Started as a squeal under load and is now an almost rattly squeal mainly under load but also at idle for a short period after a drive. Local garage can’t even hear the squeal so hopefully not imagining things. Any help would be great if anyone could possibly identify the noise. Thanks 😊 car is a 2010 mazda 3 1.6 turbo diesel

I'm sure there's nothing wrong with that website but I don't know them and have no reason to trust them. I suggest you upload to somewhere reputable like Youtube if you want people to watch your video.

Seems reputable enough for me.

I can kind of hear it, sounds a bit like a failing bearing on one of your accessories. You might take the drive belt off and see if any of the pulleys feel wobbly when spinning by hand instead of smooth? You won't feel it with the belt on because of the tension on the belt. Plus you can do it without the engine running. You should find instructions for how to loosen the belt tensioner on your car online somewhere. You can likely do it with tools you already have.

Thanks lunar, I’ll give that a go today. Hoping it is just a pulley and nothing more serious. Also noticed a small hole in the cap on the rocker cover that blows exhaust? out of it but seems almost like the holes meant to be there.

Have you tried just introducing yourself to the squeal? That way I am sure you could get to know it.

If that's the 710 filler cap then you may have a crank case pressurisation problem - check the breather hoses and PCV check valves are not blocked.
