Getting banned from a thread??

How long does the ban last? I might have called someone a c-unit, oops....bit how long til you're allowed off the naughty step?

I did send PH towers and email to ask but didn't get a reply.

What about when the thread reaches 500 and starts a new follow on thread? Is there any way to appeal it with the mods??

It is easy to get banned from a thread, just remember NOT to call Trump a mo@@on, re@@ed<a T@@t, a loon@@@Tic, remember do not call his wife a Pros@@@@tute,Wh@@e etc, also make note TO call anybody who does not use the above words a @@@@@@, an @@@Ot etc etc.

You will be safe if every now and again you use one of those words followed by Trump. (It does not matter if the rest of your words do not actually support Trump...you MUST use such terms to stay safe and avoid being called a @@@ing Trump supporter, right wing ultra, an idiot etc etc).

(PS: it does not matter what the thread title is)

Not many threads do but it should follow that it’s a continuous ban.

It's the CV19 cure worse than the disease thread.

I've never been banned from a thread before. And I probably wouldn't usually be too fussed, but this one is a long running topic and I'm honestly using it to help me cope with the whole bullst situation. So not being able to contribute is frustrating.

And I can't really see that I've put anything on there that's worse than lots of other comments, for people that haven't been banned.

So is this literally a one strike and you're out, forever, policy? Feels very unfair.

Is there no recourse towards lifting the suspension on the thread? It's not like in going to go back in there throwing insults around, and it's not as if I have a long and chequered history of stirring up trouble on here is it?

I've flagged this up, but your best bet is emailing Ben Lowden direct.

FWIW bans last the life of that thread so you'll have access to the next one, but I don't think the ban was unduly harsh.
