Learning guitar online

Hi folks
As it looks like I’ll be spending a lot more time at home over winter, and given I spent the first lockdown sorting all the DIY out, I think I’ve earnt myself the opportunity to do something I’ve wanted to do for ages.
I’ve got an acoustic guitar in the corner that I’ve been promising myself forever I will learn ‘one day’.
Given this is at a distance. I would like to learn in front of a computer. So, can anyone recommend a good resource for learning? I need to start from zero, other than bashing some drums as a teenager, I don’t have any musical experience. Happy to pay for good quality of its worth it over any free options.
Any recommendations?

The following two I found good and engaging (good to have a tutor that doesn’t have a dull way of communicating that makes you lose interest).
YourGuitarSage - I dabble with this but he does have a free course
Paul Davids - Found this good and bought both courses (I was self taught so more approaching intermediate level but did the beginner course anyway as it helped filled in the gaps). And I like the way he comes across.
Also, for general music and production vids (not guitar training courses a such but entertaining and insightful) try Rick Beato and Rhett Shull. Loads of others no doubt too.

I’ve been using the Fender Play app for a few months now and am enjoying it - not free although for a while they were offering a few months for free (not sure if still the case).
Justinguitar does look good also, I’ve watched a few of his videos to complement some of the Fender lessons.
Enjoy, and persevere with it even when you start to get stuck!!

Justinguitar is a very good resource for anyone starting out playing the guitar.
Guitarjamz.com has some really good stuff on specific playing styles (after 30-odd years of playing, it was a guitarjamz lesson about 4 years ago that taught me to how mix minor and major pentatonic scales over a blues progression).
Do not skimp on basic music theory, trust me. It opens up a whole new world for writing tunes and improvising. "Signals Music Studio" on YT has a wealth of theory videos specifically for guitar.
Guitarjamz.com has some really good stuff on specific playing styles (after 30-odd years of playing, it was a guitarjamz lesson about 4 years ago that taught me to how mix minor and major pentatonic scales over a blues progression).
Do not skimp on basic music theory, trust me. It opens up a whole new world for writing tunes and improvising. "Signals Music Studio" on YT has a wealth of theory videos specifically for guitar.
I should add that I’m now learning on both acoustic and electric, and the Fender app lets you switch freely between them and remembers progress separately which is good. You can choose preferred music styles also which slightly changes the tone of the lessons and the songs used. The kids are learning ukulele too (slowly...) and they can do that in the same app also.

Re Juston, I dont get on with his style or voice at all, but enjoy Marty @Guitarjamz.
Ive tried a few personal tutors, but Ive never felt like they are setting me the goals I feel I need to achieve, and the costs soon mount up....
Id love to find a tutor I gelled with that set me hard goals to aim for, because without that, I dont think I have the determination to stick with it.
You have a crap day at work, its all to easy to think, Yeah, I'll give the axe a swerve tonight, and so it goes on.....
Dont get me wrong, theres nothing like getting a few riffs together that float your boat, because thats whats make you pick the thing up in the first place.
I bought an Epi LP during lockdown, and played for a minimum hour a day.....soon as Ive gone back to work, thats dropped dramatically
Now Im flat out trying to get the house on the market and have zero time to play.

Conversely, I find that when busy with work I look forward to picking the guitar up later and playing for a few minutes even more, it’s a great distraction 
You do need to have the time of course!
Few years back i had a teacher, son's teacher actually. I used to find I could play what he gave me at home but to an audience it never worked.
Moved home and use various internet free sites including Marty S, Steve Stine and a couple of others depending upon what I want to practice BUT I find I've reached a (fairly low level) plateau and at that level enthusiasm is beginning to wane with other things taking preference.
Need to get back into it

I agree that Signals Music Studio is fantastic. I really like the GuitarZero2Hero youtube channel if I'm trying to learn a specific song, the videos have chords/tabs and strumming patterns on screen as you play along, whereas a lot of the other popular channels I watch just talk you through without any visual aids.
