Fab - I learnt to drive in one of these biggrin. There’s a reason that instructor was so popular at school - and to be fair most of us did pass first time.

On the day I passed he wouldn’t let me drive back from the test centre (nothing personal, he didn’t let anyone drive straight after a test) but instead showed me how quick it was when a 3.0 Capri driver was trying to show off driving

As if by magic, today I saw a Samba Convertible hooning along in North Norfolk.

That's normally because his insurance will cover any provisional licence holder under supervision but not any full licence holder

In the late 80s my friend went from a Sunbeam Ti to a heavily modified Samba Rallye.
It was noisy and quick!

OK, I'll go first:-

(1) It's white.

(2) It has cool wheels.

(3) It might be in Northern Ireland.

Also, carandclassic have a red LHD Rallye for sale, and a blue LHD convertible also.

1984 Talbot samba rallye, as mentioned it is an N.I. car. Been a competition car all its life. Restoration by an extremely competent and talented fella some 8 years ago, so I can't take any credit for how good it really is. Group N car with lots of period PTS bits. I love it!

Nice looking car.

Always have a soft spot for Samba's - my dad had a base spec one back in the 80's, put well over 100k miles on it before trading it in smile
