Difference between Samsung Galaxy A, J, S range phones?

They don't do J any more.
It's now S, A and M in that order (presumably from SAMsung).
S is most expensive and has all the bells and whistles (best camera, high build quality, water resistance and usually wireless charging).
A is more middle of the road. Loses some of the photo quality and doesn't have such a fast processor.
M is the budget line and has reduced functionality (lacks Samsung Pay for instance).
A is a good balance of price and features and like the S series will receive at least 2 Android version upgrades from the base version.
