Recommend a car with a large boot - details within

Hi all,

My lease went back a couple of months back, and the shed I bought a couple of months ago has now gone to car heaven last week after serving its purpose. As my family are becoming more "outdoorsy" I now need a big car. My needs are:
- Automatic
- Cruise Control
- Relatively economical
- Reliable
- Budget of up to £6k

I'd like to have a high up seating postion. There is another requirement, I need the boot to be at least 33 inches (84cm) tall from the floor because of this:



Our dog is now too large to fit into my wifes Mk7 golf estate. I've been looking at all kinds of cars, and to be honest, I'm scattered all over the place. I love Range Rover Vogues (i can stretch the budget up for the right car) as these are a bucket list car for me, and I know probably not reliable. My budget can get a 57 ish reg TDV8.

My Newfie absolutely loved the boot in our Landcruiser. He always moaned about having to travel in my 5 series estate due to the lack of headroom. Probably not posh enough for you, but a ginormous boot.

Lexus Rx400h my 2006my has been superb for the last 4 years and 50k miles. I Bought it as an old Range Rover was just too risky. Its not got the presence of a range rover, but its far more economical and it always works.
