DB9 rear shocks
Discussion
Very good question, I've been looking for an answer for this problem for quite a while.
Although the shocks on my 2004 DB9 aren't leaking yet I'd like to know my options.
Bilstein just list for 2008 onwards but i'm sure the early DB9 can go to Bilstein as BR offers the option, the OEM dampers are ridiculously priced.
No info on the web, nowhere, I think AM parts are taking us for a ride as they know the info to replace these for another make is almost non existent so we'll just bend over and get f
ked up the arse and pay £500 per damper unit which is outrageous.
We need someone to give us some info on replacements

There are loads of threads on this and like you I'm still looking for an answer for my Vantage!
Yes Bilstiens are a direct swop but you need the springs too as they are rated differently (multimatics and their springs are very different ratings). For my Vantage that comes in at £3,500 before fitting! The change does transform the ride of the car,
There are KW shocks and Nitron which I had on my RS2 and TVR(s) respectively but these had soft bushings whereas the ones for Aston seem to be hard bushed so the ride may have very little compliance or be very noisy/metallic sounding. They also cost the best part of £3k so might as well go OEM.
In the States there are BC Racing which seem to have soft bushings and at £1,150 seem a bargain but who knows how they will cope with UK roads. Anyone willing?
