Was looking at a Bentley GT 2005-07 before purchasing my previous car, before speaking to my trusted indy who knows a bit about them - basically told me to avoid as a used car as so many small jobs need lots of labour to get them done, so most things end up being a 4 figure bill.
He said enough to put me off a lovely GT - but still have a hankering for one - or a Vantage - so would be good to see responses.
Friend has a DB9 that needed a new exhaust - AM quoted £7,500 - he was able to source a SS one for £2,500 - but still expensive for an exhaust - i guess that's the nature of these cars though

The Bentley is fundamentally a more complex car, since it has 4WD and turbochargers, and is heavier. It also has the VW/Audi arrangement with a big engine crammed right in the front of the car, limiting access for some jobs.
By contrast the DB9 is a much more simple/traditional FR layout.
My instinct would be that the DB9 would have more small niggles, but the Conti would have greater potential to throw up really big bills.
If looking at low mileage cars, try and find one that has nevertheless been used and serviced fairly recently - otherwise you may end up with issues due to it having barely been used.
