Anyone been watching the latest series?? It's watchable simply because the cars are just so awful, never mind the motorbike that basically puts your hands on your hips for steering biggrin

I'm gobsmacked anyone commissions builds, and what about some sort of roadworthyness?? They look dangerous and I'm pretty sure iron girder chassis and random bits welded together don't make for a well performing car.

Actually, watching the episode where the kid puts a wrecked mitsu evo back together, and I can only imagine the clients are set up for the show.

No way in hell would you pay someone $10k to buy a wrecked car to put back together when they aren't even a mechanic!! In fact they could have just bought one second hand with some mods for that price, what do they get extra for having some non mechanically minded lad try to put it back together? Makes no sense at all, I'm sure they added that to get the kid some TV time, all very odd, but strangely bloody addictive train wreck TV!!

They're a very odd couple, he gets rediculously excited and she just sits around with a straight face trying to make the completely random budgets work.

Watching the one where they build a car for the winery right now, my god this thing will be longer than a bus at this rate!! Jolene's looking pretty confused by the whole thing but still hot, it has all the makings of being bad enough to keep watching.

Good god!! What did I just see?? They genuinely built this monstrosity and gave it (about 15 days late) to the client, who obviously suffered some sort of medical breakdown and called it a work of art!! I've never seen anything so funny that's not actually supposed to be comedy

And yes that really is the fuel tank safely tucked behind the scrap metal crash protection and a piece of perspex they took off a tanning bed, (no, they really did take it off a tanning bed)

Been catching up on a few of these, mainly fast forwarding to see the end result.

Comes across as a Red Neck Leepu??

Not to mention the Irish traveller accent.
