Idiotic driving in a liveried vehicle.

Driving home from a week working away I was keen to get home if you get my meaning.
There appeared in the mirror a works vehicle probably two feet from my back bumper.
I put my foot down to open the gap but then resumed my cruising speed. The vehicle behind did it again, he was obviously doing well over the limit. I eventually let him past only to see a 70 sticker on the back. He did it to other cars further along. It was going dark and raining.
I made a mental note of the company and the reg of the van and sent an email later complaining about the aggressive driving.
I got a reply that had a slightly sarcastic ring to it assuring me that all their company vehicles are limited to 70mph but they will look into it. Just what goes through people's minds driving like an idiot with their company's name plastered all over.

Loads of small cars and vans go past me.
Vans all signed up on the M1 on a Friday I'm doing 90, they go past at 100.
Big deal, I move over and let them past.

From your post it sounds like you were not being very observant and not observing the ‘keep left’ rule unless overtaking.

When i get a nutter on my back bumper i find it best just to facilitate letting them past as soon as possible. I'd rather have someone like that in front of me than behind me.
But yes, seems a bit dim to be driving like an idiot in a van that so easily traced to a company.

My car is much to old to brag about, an embarrassment on PH !
My point being, its just a 'Big Knob competition past 80mph nowadays.

I know! I knew you were being ironic. I was mocking not you but the PH stereotype who likes to bang on about his boring German repmobile as if it was some paragon of automotive fabulousness and capable of Warp 9. He calls the car his "pride and joy" and loves it more than he loves his (no doubt horrible) children.
Being semi-serious for half a second, anyone who has ever driven a van or a lorry on a motorway knows that doing so is all about energy management, and that is why van and lorry drivers like to stay at a more or less constant speed. People used to driving vehicles that can speed up fast and slow down fast may have no conception of what it is like to drive something heavy and shaped like a brick. Back to the slagging: I suspect that the OP has no conception what it is like to be anyone who is not him. Solipsists R Us 2020!
Back in the 80's and 90's.
When it was possible to get away with really daft riding almost anywhere on a Superbike, I had a sticker on the back of my Helmet.
I think it came free with either Superbike or Fast Bikes Magazine.
It read.
"How's my driving? Call 0800 and F*** Right Off!
No one ever rang?
Must have been 1000's of those stickers about!
