Hello to All.
I have just joined the owners club as I recently bought a 2L jago to use in classic trialing.
I would like to know if there are any other Jagos competing in an form of competition.
I have seen a couple of Jagos out on classic trials and would like to discuss what works and what doesn't.
Looking forward to winter and all that mud!

Steve.

transferring my practical knowledge of off roading a lada niva and suzuki sj410 2 things spring obviously to mind
tyres best you can afford i would guess they will be limited by the classic trials rules
articulation the highest softest largest travel suspension you can achieve
if its a mk2 the single leaf would probably be best with a mk1 multi leaf setup removing leaves to soften springs and find a compromose which sits as high as possible - longer hangers maybe?
in fact set up completely the reverse of what we are trying to achieve for on road load carrying use
with struts tallest softest springs you can lay your hands on
my lada is coils all round articulation greater than any other unmodified vehicle which keeps wheels on ground which equals traction the leaf sprung suzuki cant get near the level of the lada
beyond that its a matter of asking looking at other geeps and picking their brains
good luck

I have heard of a Jago competing in trials in Devon (Class 8??). I know little about the sport but have a friend who is very involved. I can ask if the Jago still competes and maybe get a name if that's helpful?

Thanks for the responses people. If you do a search on google images and enter "Jago Jeep" a picture come up of a blue Jago on a PCT section. Is this car and owner still competing?
Anyone with an interest in trialing or any form of competition in their Jago please contact me.
Thanks,
Steve.
