Cease and Desist Letter - Pre Action

Does any have a guide for a cease and desist letter under the pre-action protocol, I have issued letters from an organisational stand point for a client but this is for a private individual as someone is making untrue statements to friends and acquittances.
The latest issue this week>
A test msg has been sent making various allegations of course not to the person the allegations but this was too their family member also claiming that they will get an 'order'. They have not made any such claim to the person themselves, they are also aware the a mutual friend (adult) has said something to the person child causing distress.
The person receiving has fact checked one of the claims with their friends and found it to be totally untrue.
I believe this would be slander/harassment as this is a pattern of behaviour that has gone on for a year.
