I drove a 400 mile round trip yesterday to Donington and didn't se one single TVR on the road the whole way. I reckon I saw less than 10 (not including the racers) within the circuit too - all very strange.

BTW Nice to put another face to a name Raceboy.

Good to see Ted again too, look forward to 2nd November.

Mark - You obviously didn't make it down to the Old Hairpin side of the track - more TVRs than you could shake a stick at.

We drove up from Essex on Saturday - had a great time and I met the Honourable Ted. Getting home was interesting with the M1 being closed - what was that all about then? Nothing on the news last night.

Deb, we were at the Melbourne hairpin really close to the noise
Did have a walk of the circuit while some dull tin tops were out for a drive, were all the TVR's parked in the infield? I only remember seeing a red Griff.

There were dozens of tivs parked inside the circuit in the Craner Curves/Old Hairpin area. Griffs, Chims, Cerbs, loadsa Tuscans, a few S models, two wedges and even a Tamora.
There were also Raris, Lotus Esprits, Elises, the only Noble M12 I've ever seen, Ginetta, and some nice old BMWs, including a tasty 3.0l CSL complete with Batwings! .
One funny sight was the fella with the Nissan 300zx who proceeded to ostentatiously put the biggest, yellowest wheel clamp on his newly parked beasty. I s'pose he thought that, surrounded by all the other truly desirable metal (and plastic) someone would be so overwhelmed with lust for his Datsun they'd just have to steal it.

And I was parked all on my own at Redgate, but that way I could keep an eye on it from James' excellent Hospitality box and try to get it into the background of my photos
Sorry I had to run off .Mark but the master called Hope you had a safe journey home, travelling that far to watch Tuscans begins the question who traveled furthest?

Several griffs, a tuscan, s1 and several wedges were blasting around the lake district yesterday with a rest halt in paterdale.
Great weather, no police (all on the M6 getting their revenue quotas) , no speed cameras and good company from the cumbria TVRCC.
A Perfect day

Safe but slow, whoever decided to set the M1 on fire was having a right laugh! (400 mile round trip BTW)
Came up on the new Silverstone by-pass, now forgive me but I thought speed/safety/tax cameras were put on roads with accident blackspots. So can someone explain 3 new cameras on a new piece of road?

I was there and thought it was pretty quiet in terms of general admission, but wasn't too bad for TVR's with what was parked down by the Old hairpin.

Was nice to see a Noble again aswell and a few others bits of exotica.

I was unfortunately in a friends 'midlife' - diesel aswell - so couldn't out mine on display.

We also parked in the infield amid the other TVRs gathered opposite the Craner Curves/Old Hairpin, good to be back to normal after the GTs a fortnight ago, but not as many as i have seen there. Martvr, saw the Noble and purplelou's Chimaera as we were leaving, but not you, sadly! Another time.

Failed to meet any other PHers, although the guy we stood by opposite Fogarty's/Goddards in the FIA GTs for a while had such a motorsport maniac's grin I did wonder. Those beasts are LOUD! Hope viperman enjoyed it.

Great to see so many tuscans out for the last race which was thrilling stuff, a good way to end the season (except for Rob Urquhart's crash on Sat, of course, which I didn't see as i was at Brands watching Caterhams, but from the photos it looks to be about where Troy Dunlop came to grief last year).

Remind me NEVER to try and leave by the paddock end, it was horrible and took half an hour, even tho' I wanted to turn right, not left like every other vehicle in the jam. I should have known better when I saw Tiff Needell threading his way in the opposite direction, he ought to know the quickest way out of Donington!

There were 20 something of us trundling around Dorset and a fair number zooming around Surrey by the sound of it.

We parked just inside the security gates to the paddock on the left, only saw a couple of TVR"s in that area, was obviously in the wrong place. Thanks to James Agger for the hospitality, had a great day..
