Identifying a genuine GTA by its VIN

[thesmiths]

Is it possible to verify a GTA by its VIN code?

The one I'm looking at is a 2003 car and the VIN ends with 3536.

It's got the boot spoiler lip, the bonnet vents, the front grill mesh, and the badging. But the wheels have been swapped for non-GTA ones...

Advice appreciated.
