Wishing to move job - career adviser/ consultants
Discussion
Hi chaps,
I am looking for some advice on how to try and find a new career without quite knowing what I would like to do....
Do such consultants exist who may be able to guide me into a career or niche of an industry that I perhaps wouldn’t be aware of. Perhaps a grown up version of your schools career advisor but with a bit more depth.
I currently work in industrial controls/automation and have done for 10years now (this year) after falling into the industry by chance when I left school.
I am turning 30 next year and feel that the contracting side of the construction industry isn’t really my scene and the engineering side isn’t a passion either. As such I would love to try and pursue something that actually made me feel somewhat happy or content and as such I just can’t see myself here forever.
My partner and I are financially secure with no bad debt and will be looking to try for children next year and my partner is very supportive of me.
At the moment I am grateful to be in a fairly secure job and once the country is slightly more predictable I would like to strike with a new change.
Any advise would be most welcome
