had mine replaced 2 years and 20k miles ago with bmw parts. had redish under the car yesterday and their report and vid showed how sorry they looked - mainly corrosion to the edge of the bush outer.

has anyone else had them age so quickly? nothing in the rear feels untoward but will likely get them done for good measure

I had my dealer underneath my car pointing out corroded parts and it was all bks.

The bushes should last years, if they looked corroded but the rubber is fine then they are fine.

If you want to replace them use M3 items.

Dealers are very good at tut tutting at things on a car then making you feel like you should be shelling out big pennies for nothing.

If the car feels fine then see what the next MOT says.

PS I’m assuming Reddish is some sort of dealer.

If the bush outers have surface rusted that wouldn't surprise, or be any cause of alarm.

They're usually just electroplated, and if pressed into the trailing arm that can slightly nick the coating and away goes the rust on the first salty/wet day.

Can you show us a pic?

As mentioned fit gen BMW M3 ones. I’ve seen originals last over 200k miles. (Non M3).

Someone is trying to get some extra work.

They look normal. Forget about it.
