70 frames later... shot with H1+150mm @ 800/f8

Lit from behind and wearing wellies...

Looks great! One of those images that resizing really doesn't do any favours for - I would ask for a 100% crop but suspect you wouldn't end up with much in the frame!

glued the glass to a sheet of clear perspex.. then set up an opaque sheet behind that. flicked some light from a simple flash head with a grid on it onto the second sheet from behind and then got the wife to pour.. and pour.. and clean it all up and pour again and again.. finally after 70 frames we got the shot.

no PS trickery at all.. just balanced it and bang.. there it is.

Well done ! I like all the shots on the right hand side too. The top one might look good inverted making it look as if the glass is standing on a swirling pillar of wine. The middle one looks gory, as if a vampire was spilling a glass of blood.
