What are the options in this segment? Currently looking at VVTLI celicas after being put off by the reliability of MK1 TTS reliability as a daily.

-5k budget could push to 6k
-no minimum seat requirement
-reliable
- did about 10k pre pandemic but now 5-7k a year

I bought a BMW manual 330i in March 2019 for just under £3,500, but sadly haven't got to use it much! (It replaced a 325i that just felt gutless).

If you don't mind a convertible a 3 litre BMW Z4 might be an option.

350z is a good shout, only thing that ever went wrong with mine was the battery.

FN2 Type-R, again, only thing that went was the battery.

Currently rocking a Mini Cooper S R53. Probably too early to comment but so far not too bad. Its a fun little car.
