Morning

I have just dug out some old PC games and was wondering if it was possible to transfer the entire game onto the computer rather than using the CD all the time??

Many thanks in advance

Depends on the game. Some will allow play only from the installer CD/DVD, but the old workaround for this was to create an ISO image of the disc and keep that on the HD, then mount it with virtual-cd/dvd software this (Virtual CD) or this (Virtual Clone Drive)for example to make it appear like a normal disc.

Daemon Tools Lite is one of the cheaper (think you need the pay for version to rip stuff, but you can mount images with the free one) options for ripping and mounting CD/DVDs

Windows 10 has virtual drive mounting built in... just right-clock on the iso and you should see "mount" as an option.
