My MIL light has come on, and stays on. Disconnected and reconnected the ECU but still comes on. Can detect no difference in the way the car's running.

I'm in Cambridge. Offords can't look at it until Monday. Castle's laptop has bust.

Any other suggestions?

Hello,
I had this problem though with a few other probs.
I dont know if it will work for you, try the temp sender, I think it comes out the back of the right hand side of the block. Give the connector a clean with contact cleaner, it might work.
(if you can get the car up I think it is easier to come in from underneath, or maybe quicker than removing the cover)

Thanks Nick - I'll have a look. It's a SP6, so everything's not very accessible.

nervous - nothing's got wet. Yes, mine does this too when wet/very damp/just been washed, but it hasn't seen a drop of water for quite a while.
