Apple CarPlay on 2018 Ford Fiesta

Does anyone know how to get Apple CarPlay working on a current (2018) Ford Fiesta? I bought the car a month ago and cannot get Apple CarPlay working on my iPhone 7. I’ve done all the obvious things, including buying a brand new Apple lightning to USB connector, updating the software on the phone and Sync 3 radio, resetting everything multiple times. It works fine on other cars with Apple CarPlay.

Carplay isn’t standard on all models, does your car definitely have it? It should just be a case of plugging the phone in, selecting the phone apps” (or whatever it’s called) icon in the menu and following the prompts
