I can't park mine
Discussion
No, not the car but the wipers. When I took the car apart about 15 years ago I thought "that loom's completely shot, I'll have to make/get a new one" so didn't label anything when I took all the electrics off. More fool me!
Everything now works apart from the wipers, from memory there are five wires in the loom from the motor and the switch terminals are numbered 1 to 5. Now, by a process of elimination I've got four wires connected that give me two wiper speeds and off. The problem is the 'off' is where ever the wipers happen to be at the time. However I configure the wiring with all wires the best I can get is two speeds and a blown fuse when I switch off!
So, if someone has a Vixen or Tuscan I'd be most grateful if you'd get a torch and a mirror and let me know at least where they're supposed to go! - Unless there's some clever ******** who knows without looking!

There's a Vixen wiring diagram at www.hockerley.freeserve.co.uk/graphics/wirediag.jpg if that's any help.
By the way the wipers don't park on my Vixen and never have done but I seem to remember that there are 5 wires on my wiper switch so mine could be the parking switch playing up.

Alex, would be grateful if you could have a look.
Nigel, thanks for the link but it don't tell me which colour goes to which pin on the switch!
They did park before I took it all apart, perhaps they're just sulking after 15 years stuck in a box!

I found some info here.....

....then just checked continuity through the switch to see what pin did what. I think there was some luck involved somewhere too!
I thought I'd made a mistake because they park on the drivers side, but after hunting for pic's on the net I think they all do?
Glad you're all sorted.
