Hello guys,

It is time to replace my starter motor on my V8 Vantage as it was playing up for a while and it's just getting worse and very embarrassing...

About to attempt to give it a go with a very handy and experienced mechanic friend. My only worry is we have to remove the exhaust manifold to replace the starter, I'm obviously anxious about the nuts and bolts...

Any of you removed the exhaust manifold? Any useful tips and ideas about the best way to get to the screws and not to break them?

Thanks!!!

You can get the starter rebuilt to as new for approx £100.

Google startermotorman - he’s down on the south coast and I’ve used him a few times.
