It is going to be a little bit crazy tonight on the weather front apparently, so if the lightning holds off long enough for it to get dark we could have a mini PH photo competition!

Anyone fancy it? I've never tried shooting storm stuff before!

I'll be keeping an eye out to see if it's worth venturing out. Metal tripod, electrical storm!

Just got back in from my attempts, i'm a bit wet and took 1500 photos although i'm not sure I caught a single one (god bless digital!)

Every massive strike happened whilst I had just taken it off auto shoot and was moving the tripod round etc! Damn!

My first time trying to photograph a storm like that. Anyone who does this must have the patience of a saint!

Anway, this is the best I could do. As they say, "size doesn't matter!"...

I managed to get two last year, using a Digital camera with horrendous shutter lag!!

Haven't got a storm here, but have the camera ready just in case.

When the storm passed over here it was still quite light so I could only use a 2 or 3 second exposure on ISO 100 and an apperture of 22.
