I'm looking to purchase a TVR as a second car, but don't have the room to store / garage it on my own property (running it as an only car is not an option either).

A mate of mine has offered his garage (since he doesn't use it), but I can't find an insurance company who is prepared to let me do this!

Anyone got any bright ideas / suggestions?!?

Maybe you could 'rent' the garage from him for a quid or so?

That way, you have an enforceable agreement (might need some form of help to make it legally binding) to rent the garage, similar to using a private car park or the like.

Might work...

Tried that - the problem seems to be that no one wants to insure a car unless it is on your property... :sigh:

Bl00dy ridiculous thieving ba$tard insurance companies at it again! They'll charge you a fortune for parking on the street and then not insure you when the car's nice and secure in its cosy garage, just 'cos its not next to your house. :speechless:

Mind you, you could be 'visiting' your friend if anything were to happen to your car whilst in his garage...
