Otter switch location

When I had the radiator to my 96 Griffith 500 replaced the new radiator came with an otter switch in the top left hand of the radiator.
Are there any advantages of changing to use the otter switch on the radiator?

Is this your classic TVR upside down radiator?

Otter switch at the top is vulnerable to air locks, also you would eed to find out whether the operating temperature is suitable. I suggest you stick to the standard position.

Can anyone give a description of what i should be looking for to identify the Otter switch when fitting the mod-wise cooling kit?

On my '97 500 I think it's the electrical connector with 2 wires going into it at the bottom of the swirl pot.

That's the one.

The Ideal position for the Otter switch is in or adjacent to the radiator outlet, this lets the fans account for the ram air effect when travelling at speed.

However a top location is not good as Peter stated, so I’d use the one on the swirl pot.

Ah, but the otter is not used for that kit, its just for getting to the wiring.
