Coolant for Porsche Cayenne - wrong colour?
Discussion
I went to Euro Car parts to get some coolant/antifreeze for the wife's diesel Cayenne, and their system had it listed as a blue one as follows
https://www.eurocarparts.com/p/triple-qx-blue-anti...
But when i went to fill it, i noticed the antifreeze is red/pink. Question I have is will the one I bought work in conjunction with whats already in there, or do I need to go out a buy a different type / colour?
Cheers in advance

With things like that don't take it as read, phone the Porsche centre and get the right stuff. The wrong stuff can really f
k things up. For this sort of thing I don't trust Triple QX or ECP.

Has anybody actually come across red & blue AF mixed and it caused problems, seems an urban myth to me &
mates in the trade.
Pretty much this. I think years and years ago there may have been an issue but not anymore.mates in the trade.
People seem to worry themselves stupid over coolant when there is no need.
There are only a few manufacturers, BP, chevron, Exxon, prestone, BASF, shell and a couple of others. Porsche and probably none of the big car companies make their own coolant. Materials tech is pretty much the same so special coolant isn’t really a thing.
It's one of those questions you'll struggle to get a definitive answer to but on a newer more valuable car for a top up I'd use the same colour stuff that it already has. Stick a litre of blue in with an already red system and you end up with a manky brown colour that makes it look like there's something wrong with the cooling system.
If you're flushing it doesn't really matter.
FWIW Porsche have used yellow, pink and green at various points in various cars. Confusing or what?
If it only needs half a litre or less just stick some water in there, if it needs more start asking yourself why it's using so much.
