GT8/GT12 Colours & Specs
Discussion
Please feel free to add your own car photos or observations!
As a bit of an enthusiast of the GT8 particularly, but also the GT12, I often have a wistful look at the classifieds to see what`s around and how it`s been specced, and then I thought why not try and compile a bunch of photos and info of what`s out there. They seemed to encourage a bolder approach to colour combinations and it`s interesting to see what people went with.
Without further ado, I`ll start with what I quickly found currently on sale in Switzerland & the UK as of today, 29 Oct 2020.

Nice thread! Love the GT8 spec'd with a B&O stereo. That must be quite rare! Only recall one GT12 spec'd with a B&O.
Here's a G12 currently on sale:
GT12 - 2015 - Sportshift (only 'box available on GT12), Skyfall Silver with Speedway White Graphics, Pure Black Alcantara with Contrast Stitching in Silver, 700 miles, £349,950

I’ll get shot to bits here but I’d love to see one naked as such, no spoilers or wings added.
Ultimate Q car if you pardon the pun.
100%. That's why I love the V600 project. If only they made 'em with a SportShift. And £900k dealer contribution Ultimate Q car if you pardon the pun.

To be honest, I sometimes wonder about the GT12 and how it compares to an equally carbon - and powerful - Vanquish S. Or a "standard" V12S with the power upgrade to the same BHP. I can make many things connect in my head, but 3x premium over either of these, it's hard to make the case.
Still would love one. With a much more realistic £200k dealer contribution...
But why do I Iove the GT12 and think the GT8 is a little OTT visually? No logic. Just me?

Good stuff.
Personal favourites are at the beginning, Long Beach Blue, Stirling Green and China Grey.
Long Beach Blue looks so much better on the GT8 than on the BMW M2 it was borrowed from!Personal favourites are at the beginning, Long Beach Blue, Stirling Green and China Grey.

Nice 3d! On the GT8 Club website when I have time I will post other GT8 photos, there are definitely many in unique color combo!
According to the registry, the 3rd car shown in the first post is Chiltern Green as opposed to Stirling Green (#115).
Also the black/orange GT8 advertised has 2 GT8 Club members as previous owners so, we'd be happy to link you to both for more info, if interested to know more.

I think the 8 is probably a bit OTT but the theatre it is to drive and listen to compensates.
And the plate was good value.

Nice plate And the plate was good value.
& of course the car, which I believe I`ve touched on before...Fil.FM said:

Thanks for the correction, I shall adjust accordingly, it didn`t have the colour listed so it was an (un)educated guess! According to the registry, the 3rd car shown in the first post is Chiltern Green as opposed to Stirling Green (#115).
Certainly keen to see colour combos other than what`s here.
These are 48 of the identified main body colors used for GT8s (some are unknown as of today and are based on approx 130 cars in the registry)...likely there are approx 55 different main body colors used.
If you consider that:
- approx a third of the 150 cars are in the 'Halo' combos (~140 Stirling green/Lime and the rest in Stratus White/Green)
- there were optional color accent that many selected
the unique color combos are likely to be >80.
In other words, aside of the 'Halo' painted cars, it is very rare to see 2 of the cars being painted in the same body color/accent combo.
Unique body colors:
59' Racing Green
AM Racing Green
Appletree Green
Black ?
Carbon Black
Long Beach Blue
Chiltern Green
China Grey
Cinnabar Orange
Cobalt Blue
Quantum Silver
DBR9 Green
Diavolo Red
Flame Orange
Flugplatz Blue
Frosted Glass Blue (Gulf)
Gulf Blue
Hammerhead Silver
Heritage Racing Green
Jaguar Racing Green
Jet Black
Lightning Silver
Lunar White
Magnetic Silver
Mariana Blue
Metallic White
Midnight Blue
Ocellus Teal
Onyx Black
Peridot Green
Red ?
Satin Titanium Silver
Scintilla Silver
Seastorm Grey
Silver ?
Skyfall Silver
Stirling Green
Stirling Green (Halo)
Storm Black
Stratus White
Stratus White (Halo)
Sunburst Yellow
Ultramarine Black
Viridian Green
Volcano Red
White ?
White (Gulf-scheme)
Alloro Green

I`m surprised that there is as many as a third in the halo colours. From a personal aspect, being a near unique limited run car has far more appeal to me than being one of a bunch that look the same, which is kind of why I started this thread obviously, if they were all Stirling and Stratus that would be that!- approx a third of the 150 cars are in the 'Halo' combos

Oooh! Never seen a "plain" silver GT12. Is that actually the first AM, post original Vanquish, that I like in silver? Nice!Gassing Station | Aston Martin | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
