fk me, being driven insane by a new EPSON XP-2105. How long before it gets sent back to Amazon.

Press the WiFi button on the Printer for 5+ secs.

WPS on the Plusnet Router....

And nothing.

2 Buttons lit on front panel, Wifi working. 2 Flashing lights means no Wifi.

Always the 2 flashing lights, Laptop unable to find printer. Bingo!

Any ideas?

I think that printer only support's 2.4g wifi - It maybe because your router wps is 5g?

Does it matter that the manual says press the WPS button first and then press the WiFi button the printer for 5 seconds?

It looks as if Epson have software that can remotely configure the printer's WiFi connection:

https://www.epson.co.uk/viewcon/corporatesite/kb/i...

Does that work ?

We had to set out HP printer via a mobile aop, that dry the WiFi settings that the printer then used to connect to home wifi.

Is there an app that will walk you through the process?

Would the Software Disc being for the "2100" Series rather my one, the 2105, have anything to do with it?

I will get a USB, a see how it goes when wired up.

Doubt it, that’s the correct series.

I’ll go back to this .. “ Press the WiFi button on the Printer for 5+ secs.
WPS on the Plusnet Router....”

That’s the wrong order, but you haven’t said you’ve done it differently yet smile

You could download the Epson app to your phone and try connecting the printer to your WiFi that way, ignore all the potential bks with drivers etc. At least get it on the network.

I have tried Router first, then Printer and it made no difference.

Thanks for the advice anyway.

It’s magic when these things work like they should and an utter ballache when they don’t. You end up going back to real basics, like does the router signal even physically reach the printer and all that. Good luck!

New Router, hadn't realised it the WPS should be held down for at least 7 seconds.

Right, probably stupid question time, but would the problem be anything to do with me not havinig fitted the ink cartridges yet.

As the Power Button, Wiffy and Ink Cartridge lights flash simultainiously?

Flashing Power Button is some kind of error mode.

Here’s another stupid question.. have you opened the user guide yet? It tells you what the flashing lights might mean, and how to print a network connection report.

Slowly getting through it.

Wiffy should be acheived by holding the button and pressing the one to the right of it once.

I know the orange lights are a problem with the ink.

Yes but the point is the report tells you explicitly what’s wrong (or at least tries to). And with no ink, you haven’t printed it.

FFS as they say. Having fitted the ink I still have no ink. Obviously.

I am now at the point where i wonder if any of the buttons on the front panel are actually working, apart from the power one.

Having a similar one before, the move "ink carridge to change the cartridges" certainly isn't working, the one on the right hand side.

And yes, having fitted and refitted the ink, it's still showing no ink.

My Epson won't work through a WiFi extender (like Devolo for example). It has to be connected directly to the router (either by WiFi or Ethernet) so try without an extender (assuming you are using one).

Try connecting the printer directly to the router with an ethernet cable. At least that will prove to you it is working and the issue is definitely with the WiFi.
